Financial support
Dear Friends,
I am forwarding herewith the project concept notes from 15 YMCAs in the Region. These YMCAs are
looking for partner YMCAs/ Organisation for implementing the programs under APAY partnership
project. We are expecting three more proposals from Indonesia, which I hope to share with you
shortly.
As you may be aware APAY Partnership project is intended to provide opportunities for the YMCAs
in the developing countries to initiate local action programs in line with the regional thrust. It is also
providing opportunities for the YMCAs and Y¡¦s Men Clubs in the developing countries as well as
established YMCAs in the developing countries to build partnership with these YMCAs and share
resources as an expression of our Global solidarity.
These are only concept notes and detailed proposal and the implementation / Monitoring plans
based on these concept notes will be provided by the respective YMCAs after the partner YMCA/ Y¡¦s
Men agreed on the concept of the proposed project. APAY will facilitate the establishment of
communication between the partners. As stipulated in the APP Manual, the approximate budget for
each programme will be US$ 5000 for one year. Support to year II and Year III can also be considered
based on the progress of the implementation of the plans in the first year. The expected date of
commencement of the programmes will be 1st April 2010. The APAY Partnership project manual can
be downloaded from our website.
In case you have any questions / need clarifications please e-mail to Mr. Jose Varghese
(jose@asiapacificymca.org). We would appreciate if you could indicate us your YMCAs interest for
partnership before 15 January 2010.
Thanking you for your support and co-operation
Warm regards
Kohei Yamada
