Greetings from the APAY!
As you are aware that ˇ§Peace with Justiceˇ¨ is being adopted as one of the key thrusts of the Quadrannial Programme Plan of the APAY . Today Peace and Security has become the major concerns of our society and it is encouraging to note that many YMCAs in our Region are alreadly involved in fostering peace and security through its multifacited interventions in the community.
We are pleased to share with you that the APAY is organising a Roundtable on Peace and Security to strenthen the conceptual understanding of Peace with Justice and Security and explore on translating concerens into practical actions with the community . It also aimed to develop core fecilitators to further the thrust on peace and security at National / Local levels .
The Roundtable process will be fully participatory and it will includes sharing of emerging peace and security issues in Asia Pacific , theoretical inputs on Peace with Justice , training workshop on peace building , community exposures and sharing of significant case stories by the YMCAs / other organisations .
We encourage all the National movements to share the information with the local YMCAs and enable the potential leaders to participate in the Roundtable.
