AMIC is currently inviting students of Media or Journalism to apply for a student internship with the Centre. If you are pursuing a course of study in media/communication at the undergraduate or post-graduate level we would be happy to hear from you. International Forum on the Social Science - Policy Nexus (IFSP)

Being part of the "MOST" (Management of Social Transformations) Program. The Most Programme's primary purpose is to transfer relevant research findings and data to decision-makers and other stake-holders.

The International Forum on the Social Science - Policy Nexus, which will be held in Argentina and in Uruguay from February 20 to 24 2006, will break new ground in connecting social science research to policy. The Forum, organized in conjunction with the Governments of Argentina and Uruguay , and with the support of a wide range of academic, policy, and NGO partners, offers an innovative space for a new kind of dialogue, bringing together social science and policy in the search for a common language and shared terms of engagement.

World Youth Peace Summit on September 11-15, 2006

This Historic gathering - under the patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah II - will recognize the importance of this date, and in partnership with Chat the Planet will include a live link between 'ground zero' in New York City and the Summit in Jordan . Chat the Planet is a new vision of how television, the Internet, and a network of global partnerships can create compelling television programming, and a vibrant global community of youth conversation and a culture of civic engagement.

Your motto should consist of 10 words or less and reach the organizer by 31 January 2006 . The winner will be featured on the World Youth Quest for Peace website.
