Empowering Youth Through Health and Environmental Awareness

YMCA Malang - Indonesia successfully held a Youth Camp, Worship and Compost Training under the theme: “Rooted & Renewed – Respect your body, Respond to Climate Change” on April 25 – 26, 2026. Attended by 45 youth participants, reflecting a shared commitment to promoting health awareness and environmental responsibility. Read more

2nd  Workshop  on Artificial Intelligence at Lahore YMCA

The 2nd Artificial Intelligence Workshop at Lahore YMCA gathered over 31 enthusiastic participants, including youth, students, teachers, and YMCA staff. Building on the first workshop, this session focused on the practical applications of AI in creative and professional fields. Read more


YOUTH VOICE
Jo Ye‑eun, President of the National Council of University YMCAs of Korea, offered a youth‑centered reflection on John 17:21 — “That they all may be one” — during the Executive Committee Meeting in Jeju. She emphasized that Uni YMCA is more than an organization; it is a vibrant network of young people striving to transform the world. “We are not merely connected,” she affirmed, “we are agents of change, moving together toward a better future.” Read more

YMCA Malang: Earth Clean‑Up Campaign

On May 3, 2026, 20 Uni Y members and youth volunteers joined YMCA Malang’s Earth Clean‑Up Campaign during Car Free Day. The initiative promoted environmental awareness by combining collective action with public engagement. Volunteers cleaned public spaces and encouraged the community to reduce waste and be responsible. Read more

YMCA Manila 2026 Summer Rural Workcamp Brings Education, Health, and Community Development

Over two months, the organization launched impactful programs focused on Meaningful Work, Just World, Sustainable Planet, and Community Wellbeing, all aimed at creating a practical and participatory service framework. The YMCA Manila conducted its 2026 Summer Rural Workcamp from April 20 to May 5. Read more


Workshop on Conflict to Harmony Through Nonviolent Communication
The two-day workshop Conflict to Harmony: Empowering Youth in Pakistan through Nonviolent Communication (NVC)” was held on April 24–25, 2026, at the YMCA Hall, Lahore. The workshop was organized by the Lahore YMCA in collaboration with the Interfaith Cooperation Forum (ICF), a project of the Asia Pacific Alliance of YMCAs (APAY). Read more


Prevention of Gender-Based Violence and Peace Building Program
The Myanmar YMCA, Taunggyi YMCA, and Hpa-an YMCA organized a three-day workshop on the "Prevention of Gender-Based Violence and Peace Building Program" in Taunggyi Township. The main objectives of the program were to:  promote gender equality,  prevent gender-based violence (GBV), and strengthen peaceful communities. Read more


Interfaith Cooperation:  “Peaceful Minds” Workshop Inspires Youth in Kandy
A three-day workshop on “Peaceful Minds: Empowering Youth for Mental Health and Peace" was successfully held from April 24 to 26, 2026, at Kandy City Mission, organized by the Interfaith Cooperation Forum (ICF) Sri Lanka. A total of 17 young individuals from diverse religious and cultural backgrounds — five Buddhist, eight Muslim, three Hindu, and one Christian participant. Read more

An unexpected fire broke out at the YMCA International Centre in Sri Lanka; buildings are partially damaged!

A fire broke out in the early morning on the 23rd of July at the YMCA International Centre in Kurana, Katunayake. Many from the global YMCA community and APAY reached out to the YMCA Sri Lanka with solidarity and support. NCY of Sri Lanka is eternally grateful to all in the greater YMCA family for their camaraderie and concern during this time.
