Kaligram YMCA Career Guidance Workshop - Youth Inspired to Dream Big

The Kaligram YMCA echoed with enthusiasm, hope, and purpose as it hosted a vibrant and impactful Career Guidance Workshop for post-SSC students on June 24, 2025. Organized under the powerful theme “Dream Big, Set Goals, Build Your Own Path,” the event aimed to equip young minds with the tools, confidence, and direction needed to pursue fulfilling career journeys in an ever-evolving world.

The day commenced with an uplifting praise and worship session led by the Kaligram YMCA Youth Forum. The heartfelt songs and reflections created a welcoming and reflective atmosphere, reminding participants of the importance of spiritual grounding and inner strength in the pursuit of their goals.

Mr. Lipton Bairagi, President of Kaligram YMCA and Treasurer of the National Council of YMCAs of Bangladesh (NCYB), opened the program with an inspiring inaugural speech. He extended a warm welcome to the students and emphasized the role of mentorship, self-belief, and strong community networks in navigating one’s career path.

A highlight of the event was the keynote session, “Guide to Your Bright Future: Challenges & Opportunities,” delivered by Mr. Manik Willver D Costa, National General Secretary of the YMCA. With passion and authenticity, Mr. Costa engaged the audience by addressing the common fears and hopes of youth, encouraging them to face challenges head-on while staying focused on long-term aspirations. His personal experiences and practical advice left a lasting impression on many of the participants.

The momentum continued with a compelling session on “Alternative Ways to Succeed” by Mr. Ronel Francis Costa, Executive Secretary for Programme, National Council of YMCAs of Bangaldesh. He shed light on non-traditional career paths, entrepreneurial thinking, and the importance of resilience. His talk encouraged students to remain open-minded and proactive, especially in the face of change and uncertainty.

Adding to the inspirational tone of the workshop, Ms. Minoti Baidya, Head Teacher of Koligram Monimohan Full Gospel Church Model High School, delivered a motivational talk titled “Inspirational Ideas.” She reminded the students that success often starts with small, consistent actions driven by determination and a clear vision.

The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Bibhudan Bairagi, expressing gratitude to the speakers, organizers, and participants for their valuable contributions. A communal lunch followed, allowing for informal conversations, peer bonding, and reflection on the day’s insights.

Throughout the workshop, the Kaligram YMCA premises were filled with an air of positivity and promise. For many of the youth in attendance, this event was more than just a seminar it was a transformational experience that helped them gain clarity, build confidence, and feel empowered to chase their dreams.

This initiative reflects the YMCA’s ongoing commitment to youth development and its belief in nurturing future leaders who are equipped not only with knowledge, but also with courage, values, and a vision for the future.
