Christmas Camp For Children By The YMCA Of Negros Oriental
The 2025 CHRISTMAS CAMP FOR UNDER-PRIVILEGED CHILDREN was held last December 22-24 at the YMCA Guest House & Conference Center, Talay, Dumaguete City, and was attended by 76 under-privileged children (8-12
years old) and 22 Youth Leaders coming from at least 6 depressed communities in the City of Dumaguete.
Sponsored by the YMCA of Negros Oriental and co-sponsored by the Perpetual Help Community Cooperative Inc. (PHCCI), the 3-day Camp engaged in lectures on Christmas living, ecumenical worship, group interest activities, group routine assignment, campfire, cultural programs, swimming, sports, recreational activities, and tree planting. When the children went home, each brought a Christmas Food Package for the Christmas Eve meal.
The Christmas Camp is an annual activity of the YMCA of Negros Oriental, conducted since 1970 up to the present. Since then, the program gathered no less than 5,000 kids, funded by generous YMCA Members, community donors, and sponsors.
