Free Health Camp organized by YMCA Cuttack

On 8th February 2025, YMCA Cuttack, in collaboration with Y’s Men's Club of Cuttack Millenium and Y’s Men and Women’s Club of Choudwar Cuttack, organized a Free Health Camp. The event was graced by Shri Subash Chandra Singh, Mayor of Cuttack Municipal Corporation, as the Chief Guest, accompanied by Guests of Honour, Rtn. Yagyansis Mohapatra, Rotary International District Governor, and Smt. Lija Rani Rout, Corporator of Ward No.-15, Cuttack Municipal Corporation.
The Inaugural Ceremony commenced with a prayer led by Rev. Samar Ranjan Pradhan, a member of YMCA Cuttack, followed by a Welcome Address by Dr. Raj Bolobha Mohanty, President of YMCA Cuttack. Dr. Mohanty also facilitated the Chief Guest and the Guests of Honour. Ym. Dr. Surajit Sahu, PLRD of Y’s Men International, spoke about the purpose and importance of conducting a health camp. The dignitaries addressed the gathering, expressing their appreciation for such initiatives.
The event featured a team of 14 doctors and general physicians specializing in various fields, including diabetes, hypertension, thyroid, paediatrics, dental, dermatology, gynaecology, gastrology, hepatology, physiotherapy, and ophthalmology. These professionals volunteered their time to offer diagnoses and medical advice. Medicines prescribed during the camp were generously provided by Ym. Dr. Surajit Sahu, Mr. Snehasis Dass, and some life members of YMCA Cuttack.
The Board of Directors and Life-Members of YMCA Cuttack supported the health camp through donations, services, and monetary contributions. Free medical tests, including nerve detection, pulmonary function, ECG, liver scanning, hemoglobin, HBA1C, lipid profile, eye check-up, dental check-up, DDC, BMD, and TSH, were conducted. The event saw participation from Sparsh Hospital (Bhubaneswar), The Link Eye Hospital and Research Institute (Cuttack), MG Plus (Barapathara, Cuttack), Thyrocare, Icon Life Sciences, Systopic Laboratories Pvt. Ltd., and Vasuchem Lifesciences Pvt. Ltd.
Medical representatives, staff of MG Plus, members of YMCA Parbatia (a newly formed YMCA), and members of YMCA Cuttack actively volunteered. The camp registered 208 beneficiaries and concluded with a fellowship lunch and a thanksgiving prayer.
