The Board of Metropolitan YMCA Singapore (MYMCA) announces its appointment of Ms Grace Chan as new Group Chief Executive Officer from 1 April 2021. Grace will be taking over the role of Group Chief Executive Officer from Ms Phyllis Tan who had served MYMCA faithfully for 31 years.

Grace holds a Bachelor of Business (Honours) from Nanyang Technological University, and a Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management (Prudential Assurance Award). She was also part of Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy Management Programme of Non-Profit Organisations in 2013. Grace is no stranger to MYMCA having joined in 1993 and was involved in many areas of work including Programmes, Corporate & International Affairs and Hospitality Services. She left the Association in 2004 to pursue a career in the corporate sector and then rejoined in 2011 as Chief Operating Officer. Grace was instrumental in the rebranding and refreshment MYMCA’s hospitality services and facilities, the rebranding of preschool services which eventually led to the appointment as one of government’s anchor operators. She also initiated collaborations with churches and social agencies leading to an increase in reach and impact of Y’s community and youth work.
