Green Ambassador’s Training

25-29 October 2021; 3-5PM HKT

Theme: “Working Together to Combat Climate Change: A Path to and Beyond COP26”

As part of our continued commitment to strengthen Green Movement towards a carbon neutral YMCA by 2030, we invite you to select young staff, volunteers and leaders from your YMCAs; YMCA executive staff; and other like-minded group related to YMCA work on Climate Change and Environment to participate in our Green Ambassadors Training which will be held virtually on 25-29 October 2021 at 3-5pm (Hong Kong Time). The theme for this year’s Green Ambassador Training is “Working Together to Combat Climate Change: A Path to and Beyond COP26” which will focus on understanding COP26 and the call to accelerate our actions to combat climate change.

There will be a Forum on Climate Action on the 25th of October at 3-5PM HKT which will include presentations on COP26 and YMCA Policy Framework on Climate Change Explained; COP26 and the Global South Perspective; and the APAY Road Map to Combat Climate Change. The said forum is open to the public. The NGS, YMCA staff, lay leaders and volunteers are highly encouraged to join.

The goal under this program thrusts is to ensure that National YMCA movements in Asia and Pacific region will be more sensitive towards the ecology, responsive towards preservation of the environment, and work in connection with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 13. Please select participants who can commit full time during the said training. Registration deadline is 20 October 2021.
