Programs & Activities organized by YMCA Cuttack during the month of August, 2025

1. Observation of Independence Day at YMCA Cuttack

YMCA Cuttack observed the 79^th Independence Day of India with patriotic fervor and enthusiasm on 15^th August, 2025. The program started with prayers led by Rev. Amiya Kumar Sahu, Bro. Philip Aslam Abraham and Rev. Dr. Nohoson Anand. Dr. Raj Bolobha Mohanty, President of YMCA Cuttack cum the Chairman of the Eastern India Region of YMCAs, unfurled the National Flag followed by singing the National Anthem. Around 25 beneficiaries attended the program.

2. Retreat Programme at YMCA Cuttack

YMCA Cuttack celebrated the 15^th Anniversary of the YMCA Youth Prayer Fellowship by organizing a retreat programme on 15^th August, 2025. The retreat was conducted in two sessions led by Bro. Philip Aslam Abraham, Bhopal and Rev. Manas Mohan Roul, Cuttack. Around 100 communicant members of various churches at Cuttack attended the retreat programme.

3. Inauguration Ceremony of YMCA Cuttack Oxygen Bank

YMCA Cuttack thankfully accepted the proposal of the family of Dr. Raj Bolobha Mohanty, President of YMCA Cuttack, to commence oxygen bank services, in the loving memory of L. N. Mohanty, son-in-law of Dr. Raj Bolobha Mohanty.   Dr. Raj Bolobha Mohanty and his family donated 10 Oxygen Cylinders to YMCA Cuttack.

The Inauguration Ceremony of the YMCA Cuttack Oxygen Bank was organized on 15^th August, 2025. The Ceremony started with a word of prayer led by Rev. Dr. Nihar Kumar Bordhan, Pastor, Cuttack Oriya Baptist Church, Cuttack. Master Siddharth Aaron Mohanty, son of L. N. Mohanty inaugurated the YMCA Cuttack Oxygen Bank by cutting the ribbon.

YMCA Cuttack feels proud to salute and express heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Raj Bolobha Mohanty and his family for their thoughtfulness and for supporting YMCA Cuttack to serve the society in future.\

4. Participation in the Cuttack Badminton Premier League, 2025

YMCA Cuttack is a pioneer in badminton at Cuttack. YMCA Cuttack, part took in the auction of the Cuttack Badminton Premier League, 2025 (Season-2) as owners of “YMCA CHALLENGERS”. Players owned by YMCA Cuttack were provided with all kinds of facilities. The Premier League was held at the Biju Pattnaik Indoor Stadium, Gopalpur, Cuttack from 22^nd to 24^th August, 2025. In the Premier League, 104 players were owned by different owners forming 8 teams. YMCA Challengers became the 2^nd Runners-up in the Cuttack badminton Premier League, 2025 (Season-2) and also achieved the “Discipline Team” award of the Premier League. The players of YMCA Challengers gave the best of their efforts to achieve this feat while portraying good sportsman spirit and discipline all throughout the Premier League.
