APAY welcomes Yura Rhee as Secretary for Youth Empowerment & Admin

APAY welcomes Ms Yura Rhee, appointed as APAY Secretary for Youth Empowerment & Admin. Yura was a Project Manager at a social venture called Social Balance, planning and implementing various programs that empower all ages, from children to older people. She also has experience not only in teaching and educational content development but also in administrative work around the office. 

Yura has a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry & Molecular Biology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County in the USA and studied Mandarin at Sun-Yat-sen University in Guangzhou, China. Coming back to Korea, Yura came across YMCA through some events and found YMCA’s mission and work very inspiring and meaningful for society and the world. She looks forward to contributing to the YMCA movement at the regional level with her passion and insights. 

Yura began her work with the APAY on 10 April 2023. As a Secretary for Youth Empowerment & Admin, Yura will be running point on various Youth Empowerment-related activities, working with youth in the Asia-Pacific region and taking care of all the administrative and secretarial work around the APAY office in Jeju.
