In September, the president of YMCA Mongolia visited the Australian YMCA camp in Brisbane. The work and activities that YMCA Brisbane does at their camp are fascinating. School kids spend three days in the Survival program to develop their life skills and capabilities.

One of the most notable things was that the camp facility was built by a strong, passionate yet professional Y Board, staff members and volunteers and their governance and operating system were significantly strong and healthy.

We also visited YMCA Brisbane educational facility and community centre, which made us feel at home, with excellent exposure and experience. The centre has a vocational training centre, OP thrift shop, community service centre and Gymnastics and sports centre. The centre also provides mental health care and counselling service to young people who might be or are under any form of vulnerability/violence. Staff members enjoy working for YMCA because they see young people's lives have changed, which inspires them and give them meaning to work for Y.

We have been inspired by YMCA Brisbane and its meaningful works and activities. YMCA Mongolia is looking forward to further cooperation in the near future.

We very much appreciated the hospitality of Mr. Damian, CEO of Brisbane YMCA and their team. We were greatly inspired to see that YMCA Australia is doing an amazing job and leaving a great legacy for the young generation. Thank you, YMCA Brisbane, for your kind hospitality.
