APAY 2nd Green Ambassadors Training
The Green Ambassadors Training, second of its kind was organized by the Asia and Pacific Alliance of YMCAs and took place in Wu KwaiSha Youth Village, Hong Kong during 8 – 14 May 2013. Eleven participants representing YMCA Movements of Bangladesh, Hong Kong, India, Macau, Pakistan, Taiwan and Thailand participated at the Training Program. The APAY Green Team Members facilitated the Training Program.
Rev. Simon Chan, Assistant General Secretary, Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong led the Opening Devotion on the inaugural day. Mr. Yau ChungWan, President of the APAY, Mr. Karl Lau, General Secretary of the Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong and Honorary General Secretary of the Council of YMCAs of Hong Kong and Mr. Kohei Yamada, General Secretary, APAY were present at the inaugural session of the Training Program and encouraged the participants to be more involved in green activities in their respective YMCAs.

A Brief Report of the Green Ambassadors Training
held on 21- 25 May 2012, Chiangmai,Thailand
The Green Ambassadors Training, held during 21-25 May 2012, in Chiangmai Thailand organized by the APAY Green Team was a grand success. Fifteen participants representing National Movements of Australia, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Hong Kong, India, Macau, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka & Thailand attended the Training Workshop.
The Training Workshop started with an Opening Worship lead by Dr. Hope Antone, a Faculty Member of Payap University, Chiangmai. In her reflection she related to the Creation Story in Genesis and explained how we have misinterpreted it to plunder the earth and other living beings.

Greetings to you from Asia and Pacific Alliance of YMCAs.
We are happy to inform you that the APAY is convening a Forum on Global Warming at YMCA Camp Wainui Park , Christchurch , New Zealand . Attached please find the programme information and the registration form. We request all National Movements to encourage Lay/Professional leaders, youth volunteers from your YMCAs to participate in the forum. We hope that the forum will give much impetus for our actions on Global Warming and Climate Change at various levels.
