APAY Solution Team on the Future of Work

Six (6) Solution Teams on the Future of Work representing national movements of Cambodia, Japan, Philippines and Singapore completed their first pitch prototype call last 27 August 2021. The online meet up showcased the creative and innovative ideas of young people on how to address the issue of unemployment. The project presentations included the following:

• Urban gardening as alternative livelihood

• Formal training to internship supervisors

• Mentorship and coaching to youth to prepare themselves for the future of work

• Enterprise Shelter to help startup companies and young entrepreneurs

• Creation of website to connect employers and employees

• Organic waste management for employment

A New project of Kaligram YMCA, Muksudpur, Gopalgonj, Bangladesh

The strength of any community is quality education for the younger generation with knowledge and determination. With this goal and the values of our great founder of YMCA, Sir George Williams, Kaligram YMCA established a Library and Training Centre called “Sir George Williams Library and Computer Training Centre”. This Centre will bridge the gap between underprivileged young people in the community for a brighter future with knowledge and skills.

Cycling for Youth with Special Needs at the

YMCA Special Needs Inclusive Cycling Challenge 2021


On 4 July 2021, a team of five joined the YMCA Special Needs Inclusive Cycling Challenge to cycle 125 km, the perimeter of Mount Fuji, held at Shimano Cycling World in Singapore. The event is part of the YMCA Special Needs Inclusive Challenge 2021, which engages the public in raising funds and awareness for youth with special needs.
