46th Regional Conference of The Eastern India Region Of YMCA Organized By YMCA Cuttack

The 46th Regional Conference and Council Meeting of the Eastern India Region of YMCAs organized by YMCA Cuttack was held from 12th – 14th July 2024. The event started with praise and worship by the YMCA Choir group followed by the devotion led by Rev. Dr. Nihar Kumar Bordhan, Pastor, COBC, Cuttack.

During the Inaugural Ceremony, Dr. Vincent George, National President, Ms. Mahima Turhi Agrawal, National Vice-President, Mr. Eldo N. Varghese, National General Secretary, Mr. Rajiv Kunwar John, Director, Training and Leadership Department and other distinguished guests graced the occasion by their august presence. Dr. Raj Bolobha Mohanty, President, YMCA Cuttack and Mr. Salem Bikram Kumar, Chairman, of Eastern India Region of YMCAs delivered their welcome addresses. Rev. Dr. Samuel D. Stephens, President, YMCA Salem delivered the Key-Note address on the theme “Stewardship and Sustainability: Caring for God’s Creation”.

Various cultural programs, recreational activities and sessions on history of YMCA and its structural and functional aspects, fundraising and servant leadership were conducted. More than 130 delegates from 18 YMCAs from West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha participated in the event. The interactive sessions of   Mr. Rajiv Kunwar John, Director, Training and Leadership Department, NCYI, Mr. Udipta Ranjan Fullonton, Former Secretary, NCYI, Mr. Ullas Pradhan, Visiting Faculty, Ravenshaw University, Cuttack and Mr. Sanjeev Mohanty, Science Teacher of Stewart School, Cuttack, was informative and interesting which elevated the level of the Conference. The devotional session led by Rev. Samuel Somalingam, Pastor, Mount House Church of God and the message Sunday Prayer Fellowship delivered by Rev. Dr. P. Niranjan James during the conference added essence for the spiritual upliftment of the delegates.  Suggestions of Mr. Jaydip Sarker, Regional Secretary, Eastern India Region of YMCAs were invaluable and helped in smooth conduction of the Conference. The presence and active participation of the Board of Directors, generous support of the members of YMCA Cuttack along with efforts of the staff of YMCA Cuttack was instrumental in making the event a grand success.
