Committee on Golden Anniversary Trust Fund

 Terms of Reference

The Golden Anniversary Trust Fund (GATF) is a registered Endowment Fund (1999). It is a concerted fundraising effort of the Alliance. The objectives of GATF as set out in the Memorandum of Association is to support local and National YMCAs’ efforts in undertaking actions to help poor, disadvantaged or marginalized communities faced with the growing impacts of globalisation and the challenge of good global citizenship. It is also to “extend, consolidate and develop the work of the YMCAs”, i.e. support the strengthening of the YMCAs in the region.

The immediate goal, after securing the first US$1 million is for the US$2 million, to pursue its objectives.

The Committee will focus on:

1. Development of a strategic plan of action for fundraising and a promotion/publicity strategy to renew interest in working towards the Fund’s immediate target of US$2 million, and ultimate target of US$10 million.
2. Coordination, monitoring and follow-up on fundraising efforts at different levels of the Movement.
3. Monitoring the investments and returns.
4. Making such reports and recommendations as prudent on disbursement of interests accrued to the Trustees and Executive Committee.
